Ac Reactor Application Examples

Whether in the electrical industry, mechanical engineering or the process industry, in fans, conveyors or cranes, AC Reactors and filters are suitable for all industries and all applications where frequency converters are used. They reduce the influence of mains harmonics and converter feeding on the motor. By protecting and maintaining the inverter, trouble-free operation of machines and equipment is ensured.

Three-phase line reactors for frequency converters can be used for line-side feeding. They are connected so that the alternating current at line frequency flows through the reactor as fundamental frequency. The reactors limit system disturbances in the form of harmonics. In addition, they reduce the alternating current by means of the frequency caused by the switching of the input rectifier in the DC link capacitors.

Two reactor series are available:

For converters without power recovery, reactors with a reference voltage drop uD of about 2%.

For applications with autotransformers with power recovery and for supply networks with uK supply <1%, reactors with a reference voltage drop uD of about 4%.
