Q: Can the neutral wire and ground wire of Automatic Voltage Stabilizer be connected together?

The answer is absolutely not to be connected together, whether it is a single-phase voltage stabilizer or a three-phase voltage stabilizer, the neutral wire and the ground wire cannot be connected together.

The reasons are as follows:
The ground wire is a safety protection wire connected to the voltage stabilizer housing. Under normal circumstances, the ground wire does not participate in the work of the line. Only when the voltage stabilizer leaks electricity to the housing, the ground wire discharges the voltage carried by the voltage stabilizer housing to ensure that the voltage of the housing to the ground is 0V.

The neutral wire is the power circuit of the voltage stabilizer. Under normal circumstances, the live wire current passes through the voltage stabilizer and returns to the power supply through the neutral wire, that is, the neutral wire has current flowing through it, thereby ensuring the normal operation of the voltage stabilizer.

Connecting the neutral wire and the ground wire together will cause great harm to personal safety and equipment safety, and there are great safety hazards. It is a wiring method that is absolutely not allowed to be used.

The neutral wire is the loop ground of the power supply line, which is called the power supply ground. When the end of the neutral wire is broken or has poor contact, the neutral wire will become the live wire and carry electricity. If you connect the neutral wire and the ground wire together, the neutral wire that has been converted into the live wire will transmit electricity to the outer shell of the device through the ground wire connected to it, thereby making the outer shell of the device carry electricity, which can easily cause personal electric shock accidents.

*The real ground wire is connected to the outer casing of the voltage regulator and then connected to the earth. In case the voltage regulator leaks electricity, the outer casing of the voltage regulator will be charged. If there is no ground wire or the ground wire is not connected, when a person touches the outer casing of the voltage regulator, current will pass through the human body and cause an electric shock. After the ground wire is connected, the electricity leaked to the casing will be transmitted from the ground wire to the ground. At this time, if someone touches the outer casing of the voltage regulator, it will not cause an electric shock accident, because at this time the human body is equivalent to a resistor connected in parallel to the ground wire, and the resistance value is much larger than the resistance of the ground wire (the national standard is 4Ω), so most of the current will be shunted away from the ground wire, thereby protecting personal safety. Therefore, the ground wire is a protective ground, which is absolutely different from the neutral wire, and the two cannot be connected together.
