Principle Of Constant Voltage Transformer
The output voltage of Constant Voltage Transformer(CVT) is only related to the magnetic performance parameters and cross-sectional area of the core, and has nothing to do with the ratio of primary to secondary turns.
The efficiency, volume and weight of the constant voltage transformer are similar to those of ordinary transformers. When the core material is relatively good, the output voltage changes less than 1.5[%] when the mains voltage changes from 160-250 volts; when the load current changes from full load to half, the output voltage changes by about 1.5-4[%]. When the output is short-circuited, the output current rises by about 1 times, so it is not afraid of long-term short circuit.
The constant voltage transformer is a new type of ferromagnetic resonant voltage regulator. Its core structure includes saturated magnetic circuit and unsaturated magnetic circuit, which are separated by magnetic shunts, which is equivalent to the linear inductor Lg and saturated reactor Lsx of the ferromagnetic resonant voltage regulator.
