Principle Of Constant Voltage Transformer
The output and input voltage of Constant Voltage Transformer(CVT) are designed according to the demand, with single-phase, three-phase or multi-channel input and output, triangle and star types, and the rated power is up to 800KVA. At present, our company's constant voltage transformers and autotransformers are widely used in various fields of industrial production. Constant voltage transformer products are suitable for various occasions that require voltage transformation or safety isolation of the mains voltage, such as imported assembly lines, CNC machining centers, printing machinery and low-voltage and high-current systems whose rated operating voltage is inconsistent with that of my country.
1. It has voltage conversion function (such as: △/Yo or Yo/△ connection)
2. It has filtering and anti-interference function (such as: it can remove the third harmonic interference function. It can remove odd harmonic interference.)
3. It can effectively suppress the interference harmonics and lightning electromagnetic pulses introduced from the power line from disturbing the system
4. It can effectively suppress the interference harmonics emitted by the electronic equipment of this system from entering the power distribution network to disturb other equipment (equipment and system)
5. It can fundamentally avoid system operation abnormalities, data loss or errors caused by ground potential disturbances
6. It can effectively prevent the hardware equipment in the system from being struck and destroyed due to the sharp increase in the potential of the steel bars used as the reference ground when the lightning protection equipment of the building is connected to the lightning
7. The biggest reason why constant voltage transformers are widely used in construction is that constant voltage transformers are a 1:1 transformer. The primary is 220v and the secondary is also 220v. The alternating current we use is connected to the earth with one wire. There is a 220V potential difference between the other wire and the earth. People will get an electric shock if they touch it. The secondary of the constant voltage transformer is not connected to the earth, and there is no potential difference between any two of its wires and the earth. People will not get an electric shock if they touch any one of the wires, so it is relatively safe. Constant voltage transformers are often used in electronic instruments with electron tubes and high operating voltages, such as electron tube amplifiers, oscilloscopes, etc., and can also be used to repair power supplies.
8. Features of constant voltage transformers at the input end of AC power supply:
a: If the third harmonic and interference signal of the power grid are relatively serious, the constant voltage transformer can be used to remove the third harmonic and reduce the interference signal.
b: The constant voltage transformer can generate a new neutral line to avoid abnormal operation of equipment due to poor neutral line of the power grid.
c: Current waveform distortion caused by nonlinear loads (such as third harmonics) can be blocked without polluting the power grid.
9. Features of constant voltage transformer at the output end of AC power supply:
a: Prevent current distortion of nonlinear load from affecting the normal operation of AC power supply and polluting the power grid, and play a role in purifying the power grid.
b: Sampling at the input end of constant voltage transformer makes the distortion of nonlinear load current not affect the accuracy of sampling, and obtains control signal that can reflect the actual situation.
c: If the load is unbalanced, it will not affect the normal operation of the voltage stabilized power supply.
10. Principle, structure and advantages of constant voltage transformer
The constant voltage transformer adopts a three-phase double winding structure, which has lightning protection and anti-interference characteristics. Each winding of the primary and secondary sides is divided into two coils, and the two coils are wound with two layers of mutually insulated metal foil. Therefore, there is a capacitor C between the two coils (the so-called capacitive isolation transformer). Then the following two wiring methods can be used according to the needs and combined at will:
①: The winding connected to one side of the three-phase four-wire system should be connected in a Z-shaped connection.
②: The winding connected to one side of the three-phase three-wire system should be connected in a hexagonal connection.
