Constant Voltage Transformer(CVT) belongs to a safe power supply, which is widely used in photovoltaic, subway, medical, high-rise buildings, airports, stations, docks, industrial and mining enterprises and tunnel power transmission and distribution. Safe use of electricity, protection, anti-interference, anti-filtering.

The principle of constant voltage transformer is the same as that of ordinary transformer. Both use the principle of electromagnetic induction. Constant voltage transformer generally (but not all) refers to a 1:1 transformer. Although the secondary is not connected to the earth, there is still a potential difference and a 180-degree phase difference between any secondary line and the earth, which is dangerous.

The power supply of control transformers and electronic tube equipment is also a constant voltage transformer. For example, power supplies such as electronic tube amplifiers, electronic tube radios and oscilloscopes, as well as lathe control transformers are all constant voltage transformers. For example, a 1:1 constant voltage transformer is often used for safety voltage.

First of all, the AC power supply voltage we usually use is connected to the earth with one line, and there is a 220V potential difference between the other line and the earth. People will get electric shock if they touch it. The secondary of the constant voltage transformer is not connected to the earth, and there is no potential difference between any two of its wires and the earth. People will not get electric shock when they touch any of the wires, which is safer. Secondly, the output end of the constant voltage transformer is completely "disconnected" and isolated from the input end, which effectively filters the input end of the transformer (the power supply voltage supplied by the power grid). Thus, a pure power supply voltage is provided to the electrical equipment.

Another use is to prevent interference. It can be widely used in places such as subways, high-rise buildings, airports, stations, docks, industrial and mining enterprises and tunnels for power transmission and distribution.

A constant voltage transformer refers to a transformer in which the input winding and the output winding are electrically isolated from each other to avoid the danger of accidentally touching the charged body (or metal parts that may be charged due to insulation damage) and the earth at the same time. Its principle is the same as that of an ordinary dry-type transformer, and it also uses the principle of electromagnetic induction to mainly isolate the primary power supply circuit, and the secondary circuit is floating to the ground to ensure the safety of electricity use.
