What Kind Of Failure Problems Can Be Caused By Overloading A Wide Range Regulator?
Wide Range Voltage Stabilizer has no problem in using it for 10 years under normal conditions. We often encounter problems caused by overloading of the voltage stabilizer when reporting the voltage stabilizer for repair, because some customers purchase voltage stabilizers with smaller power in order to save costs, some customers use larger power due to inaccurate power calculations, and some customers use the voltage stabilizer overloaded due to the increase in power after the voltage stabilizer has been used for a period of time. Finally, the voltage stabilizer stops working and has a short life. Everyone must pay attention to the fact that the rated power must be designed before purchasing the voltage stabilizer, and the voltage changes and the increase in equipment use must be considered. If high-power mechanical equipment is added during the use of the voltage stabilizer, the load of the voltage stabilizer must be considered, and the load current must not exceed the specified output current value, otherwise it will cause some trouble. Moreover, in the specific use process, the input voltage of the high-power voltage stabilizer often exceeds the range, and the voltage stabilizer will stop working for its own protection at this time. Please pay attention to it in the future use process, and never choose a voltage stabilizer with insufficient capacity to reduce unnecessary trouble.
Generally, our voltage stabilizers can be overloaded for a short period of time without damaging the winding insulation and reducing the service life, but long-term overload operation is strictly prohibited. The specific values are as follows:
(1) When the load exceeds 1.3 times, the outdoor voltage stabilizer allows an overload time of 2 hours, and the indoor voltage stabilizer allows an overload time of 1 hour;
(2) When the load exceeds 1.6 times, the outdoor voltage stabilizer allows an overload time of 30 minutes, and the indoor voltage stabilizer allows an overload time of 15 minutes;
(3) When the load exceeds 2.0 times, the outdoor voltage stabilizer allows an overload time of 7.5 minutes, and the indoor voltage stabilizer allows an overload time of 4 minutes.
When we select a voltage stabilizer, we must first consider the type of load it carries. If it is an inductive load, the capacity of the voltage stabilizer needs to be enlarged to 3 to 5 times the normal power of the load for the best. If it is a non-inductive load, the voltage stabilizer can be selected according to an 80% load rate (the voltage stabilizer cannot be operated at full load for a long time, 80% is the best). The voltage stabilizer is designed according to the parameters at rated capacity. If it is overloaded, its loss and temperature rise will increase. There is a time limit for short-term use. Long-term overload operation will increase the temperature rise of the voltage stabilizer, causing insulation aging and breakdown, causing accidents, which is the main reason for reducing the service life. According to research statistics, for every 6 degrees increase in the temperature of the insulation during operation, its life will be reduced by half. I hope that friends can pay attention to this aspect, better protect the voltage stabilizer, and ensure safety during use.
