Recently, a customer consulted our engineers and said that his company had purchased a Wide Range Voltage Stabilizer because of unstable voltage, but in the later use process, he felt that the voltage stabilizer could not meet the daily use needs, so he purchased another UPS power supply.

Question: When using the UPS power supply, I don’t want to waste the voltage stabilizer. I want to add the voltage stabilizer to the front end of the UPS power supply. I want to ask if these two devices can be used together?

Answer: In the case of particularly unstable voltage, some customers need to use the UPS power supply and the voltage stabilizer together, and add a first-level AC voltage stabilizer in front to expand the adaptability to input voltage changes. It is worth noting what kind of voltage stabilizer to add. Some designs add a first-level parameter voltage stabilizer in front of the UPS power supply. The reason is that the reliability of the parameter voltage stabilizer is high, but the high reliability of the parameter voltage stabilizer is conditional. First, the frequency stability of the input mains is high, and then the nonlinearity of the load behind is small, and the capacity must be greater than a certain value of the UPS power supply. However, in actual implementation, some places are far from meeting the above conditions: not only does the frequency of the input mains change transiently when a large load is connected and disconnected, causing the voltage stabilizer to frequently exit the resonance state, but the subsequent load power is greater than the voltage stabilizer, and so on, resulting in frequent UPS power burnout incidents, thereby reducing the reliability and availability of the power supply system. The result is that you spend a lot of money to buy failures.
