Conventional Treatment Methods For Transformer Tripping

When Dry Type Transformer automatically trips, if there is a spare transformer, the spare should be put into operation to check the cause of the automatic trip. If there is no spare, check what kind of protection action the transformer trips and what external phenomena occur when the transformer trips. If the inspection proves that the transformer trip is not caused by an internal fault, but by overload, external short circuit or secondary circuit fault of the protection device, it can be put into operation without internal inspection. If there is a fault, power will be supplied after it is eliminated.

1: First, roughly determine the cause of the trip and shut down the switches on both sides

2: Fault analysis, distinguish whether the trip is caused by the transformer body fault or the load side short circuit, and the scope of the fault can be determined according to the alarm signal, whether it is an overcurrent trip or a quick-break trip

3: If it is an external fault, cut off the outgoing line switch on the fault side according to the signal, test the transformer, and ensure that other fault-free parts are restored to power in time

4: If it is a body fault, test transmission is prohibited, and the transformer needs to be checked by professionals.
