Dry-type Transformer Temperature Range

Publish Time: Author: Site Editor Visit: 39

The temperature range of Dry Type Transformer mainly depends on the heat resistance grade of the insulation material used.

F-class insulation material: The maximum operating temperature is 155℃, and the maximum temperature rise should be less than 100K. Therefore, the temperature of a dry-type transformer using F-class insulation material should generally not exceed 155℃.

H-class insulation material: The maximum operating temperature is 180℃, and the maximum temperature rise should be less than 125K. Therefore, the temperature of a dry-type transformer using H-class insulation material should generally not exceed 180℃.

In addition, there is a view that the operating temperature of a dry-type transformer should not exceed 90℃, and the maximum temperature should not exceed 110℃, but this may be a recommendation for specific application scenarios or insulation material grades. In practical applications, in order to ensure the normal operation of the dry-type transformer, it is necessary to conduct regular inspections and pay attention to its operating conditions such as temperature and sound, and select appropriate insulation materials according to specific circumstances.
