The Difference Between Constant Voltage Transformer And Ordinary Transformer
The main difference between Constant Voltage Transformer(CVT) and ordinary transformers lies in its working principle, application range and voltage stability.
Working principle:
Ordinary transformer: It is a device that can increase or decrease the AC voltage in proportion. It achieves the target power by adjusting the ratio of input voltage to output voltage. Its working principle is mainly based on the principle of electromagnetic induction.
Constant voltage transformer: On the basis of ordinary transformer, feedback loop and voltage stabilization circuit are added, which can automatically adjust the output voltage and keep it at a constant value within a certain range. This transformer adjusts the output voltage and controls to maintain its fixed value through user feedback of the transformer winding.
Application range:
Ordinary transformer: It is commonly used in power systems, electronic equipment and other fields, and is suitable for occasions where voltage stability is not required.
Constant voltage transformer: It is more suitable for occasions requiring high-precision voltage stabilization, such as instruments and equipment, production processes, etc. For example, in pharmaceutical factories, the solution in the formula needs to be controlled at a constant temperature and concentration, which requires a constant voltage transformer to ensure voltage stability.
Voltage stability:
Ordinary transformers: Although they can transform voltage, their output voltage will also fluctuate accordingly when the voltage fluctuates greatly, and their stability is relatively poor.
Constant voltage transformer: Due to the addition of feedback loops and voltage stabilization circuits, they can automatically adjust the output voltage to keep it constant within a certain range, so the voltage stability is better.
In summary, there are significant differences between constant voltage transformers and ordinary transformers in terms of working principles, application ranges, and voltage stability. Constant voltage transformers are more suitable for occasions with higher requirements for voltage stability.
