What Are Automatic Voltage Stabilizers And Ups Power Supplies? What Are Their Differences?
Automatic Voltage Regulator, which is what we call a voltage stabilizer, is a completely different concept from a UPS power supply. Many friends always mistakenly regard a voltage stabilizer and a UPS power supply as the same product. In fact, there is a difference. Not only the function, structure or principle are completely different concepts. Simply put, the Chinese name of UPS power supply is uninterruptible power supply. From the name, you can see that it is actually a reserve power supply. When the power is cut off, the electric energy stored in the battery is converted into AC current after inversion to supply power to the equipment. Usually, the time interval from the host to the backup power supply will not exceed 10 milliseconds, so the power outage will hardly have any effect on the electrical equipment.
As for the voltage stabilizer, from the name, you can understand that it is mainly used to stabilize the voltage, provide a stable power environment for electrical equipment, and protect the electrical equipment from voltage fluctuations or interference. Because the function is completely different from the UPS power supply, and the UPS power supply also comes with a storage battery, the price cost is relatively high.
Of course, it makes sense that many people confuse voltage stabilized power supplies with UPS power supplies, because some high-quality backup UPS power supplies do have a voltage stabilization function. They are a type of electronic switching voltage stabilizer and can be used as a voltage stabilizer. However, the voltage stabilization effect and accuracy are not as ideal as those of a dedicated voltage stabilizer.
