What Is The Voltage Range Of The Constant Voltage Transformer?

Publish Time: Author: Site Editor Visit: 35

The voltage range of Constant Voltage Transformer(CVT) is usually between 160V and 260V, depending on its design and use environment. ‌

Input voltage range‌:

Most constant voltage transformers are designed to operate stably within the voltage range of 160V to 260V. This is because the full-load output voltage can remain stable when the grid voltage changes within this range.
When the grid voltage changes from 176V to 253V, the change in full-load output voltage usually does not exceed ±3%. ‌

Output voltage characteristics‌:

The output voltage is usually designed to be 220V±2%AC 50Hz to adapt to the voltage standards of different countries and regions.
In the case of a short circuit, the input current and output current are both less than 2 times the rated load, and the constant voltage is not damaged after 30 minutes of short circuit, and it can automatically resume work after the short circuit is released. ‌

Other important parameters‌:

Frequency characteristics‌: When the frequency changes by 1%, the output voltage change is usually less than 1.6%. ‌
Insulation resistance‌: The insulation resistance of primary to ground, primary to secondary and secondary to ground all reach 1000MΩ. ‌
Dielectric strength‌: The dielectric strength of primary to ground and primary to secondary is not less than 2KV AC (1 minute). ‌
Cooling method‌: Natural cooling. ‌
Usage environment‌: The working environment temperature should be between -40℃ and +40℃. ‌

These design and operating conditions ensure the stability and reliability of the constant voltage transformer in various application scenarios.
