What Problems Will Occur If The Wide Range Voltage Regulator Is Overloaded For A Long Time?

Earlier we said that wide-range voltage stabilizers can be overloaded, but they are all instantaneous overloads. Now let's analyze what faults will be caused by long-term overload of wide-range voltage stabilizers? Please pay attention to it in the future. Do not select a wide-range voltage stabilizer with insufficient capacity to reduce unnecessary trouble.

Under normal circumstances, our wide-range voltage stabilizers can be overloaded for a short period of time without damaging the winding insulation and reducing the service life, but long-term overload operation is strictly prohibited.

When we select a wide-range voltage stabilizer, we must first consider the type of load it carries. If it is an inductive load, the capacity of the wide-range voltage stabilizer needs to be enlarged to 3~5 times the normal power of the load. If it is a non-inductive load, the voltage stabilizer can be selected according to 80% load rate (the voltage stabilizer cannot be fully loaded for a long time, 80% is better).

Wide Range Voltage Stabilizer is designed according to the parameters at rated capacity. If it is overloaded, its loss and temperature rise will increase. There is a time limit for short-term use. Long-term overload operation will increase the temperature rise of the voltage stabilizer, cause insulation aging and breakdown, and cause accidents that are not as simple as shortening the service life. Therefore, avoid overloading.
