Working Principle Of Ac Reactor

Publish Time: Author: Site Editor Visit: 44

The working principle of AC Reactors is to use the combination of coil, iron core (if any) and insulating material to use the resistance effect (i.e. reactance) of inductance on alternating current to change the phase difference between voltage and current, achieve impedance matching between circuit input and output, thereby optimizing signal transmission effect and filtering out clutter.

Specifically:

Inductance effect: When alternating current passes through the coil of the reactor, the coil will generate self-induced electromotive force. This self-induced electromotive force will change with the change of current waveform, and will always prevent the increase or decrease of the original electromotive force. This resistance effect is the resistance of inductance to alternating current, also known as inductive reactance.
Phase difference change: Due to the effect of inductance, the phase difference between voltage and current will change after alternating current passes through the reactor. This helps to achieve impedance matching between circuit input and output and optimize signal transmission.
Filtering effect: The reactor can also filter out high-frequency clutter in the circuit. When the current frequency reaches a certain level, the inductive reactance will become very large. For high-frequency AC, the reactor is equivalent to an open circuit, thereby blocking the high frequency and allowing DC current and low-frequency current to pass through.

In addition, in order to meet specific needs, reactors may adopt different designs, such as air-core reactors and iron-core reactors. The air-core reactor is a structure in which the wire is wrapped around the solenoid, while the iron-core reactor inserts an iron core into the solenoid to enhance the inductance performance.

In summary, AC reactors play an important role in optimizing signal transmission and filtering out clutter in circuits through their unique inductance performance and magnetic field changes.
