Owned by millions of UK consumers, The Co-operative Group operates a total of 3,750 outlets, with more than 70,000 employees and an annual turnover of approximately £11 billion.

The Challenge

Co-operative Group keen to further continuously reduce their carbon footprint. The group aim to have reached a 50% reduction before 2020. Since 2006 they have reduced their CO2 by around 35%. Reducing the Group's carbon emissions across its large and diverse estate required an effective, custom designed technology that would deliver sustained energy savings.
